Environmental Sustainability
The competitive and regulatory landscape for environmental sustainability and compliance is constantly evolving. Companies and institutions are feeling pressure to reduce resource utilization and environmental impact from investors, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), competitors and customers. Environmental and procurement managers are often challenged to meet certain targets while facing internal and external hurdles to achieve the desired outcomes. With BAI’s knowledge of environmental markets and policy, our clients are able to set meaningful and achievable targets that are consistent with the firm’s business strategy and competitive environment.
However, a successful environmental strategy may go beyond simply setting targets for energy consumption or emissions reduction. Far too often, a firm’s environmental policy is established without input from key stakeholders. A firm must consider the competitive landscape, existing and potential environmental regulations and business continuity and development, so that the environmental policy aligns with other strategic interests of the organization.
